The problem

Storytelling is a skill, and most teams were never taught it

After working on thousands of products, I've seen a clear pattern: features rarely win on their own. Products succeed when teams can explain three things with clarity — what you do, who it's for, and why it matters. Those answers seem simple. Most teams have never been shown how to arrive at them.

19%
average narrative alignment

Measured across 100+ workshops. Fewer than one in five people describe the product the same way as their colleagues.

Everyone describes it differently
Without a shared method, each person improvises their own version.
Features lead, value follows
Decks list what the product does, rarely why it matters.
The story restarts every launch
Nothing carries forward, because no framework was ever handed over.
What we teach

The framework your team learns

Three questions every product narrative has to answer. The team learns how to work through each one, and applies it to your own product as we go — so the method sticks to something real rather than a case study.

Logic
Emotion
Credibility
Product Narrative
Where the framework comes from
Product, Audience and Market are an extension of Aristotle's triangle
Logic Logos · The Product
Explain the value of your product logically, so it holds up under scrutiny.
Emotion Pathos · The Audience
Connect emotionally to the people who get the most from that value.
Credibility Ethos · The Market
Prove credibly why you're better at delivering it than anyone else in the market.
Block 02 · Logic
The Product

We start with what your product does and why it matters. The real value you create — and your unique edge in delivering it.

This is where we strip away features and get to the core: the difference your product actually makes.

Block 03 · Emotion
The Audience

We then define who exactly gets the most from that value.

Allowing you to zero in on the people who get the most out of what you offer. The sharper your focus, the stronger your message lands.

Block 04 · Credibility
The Market

Finally, we ask, how can we prove you're the best at delivering that value?

Having a great story is one thing. Backing it up is another. This section builds the credibility layer, the proof that turns belief into buy-in.

The day

Eight hours, four blocks, one framework

Fully customised to your product and your team. Every block pairs the theory with an exercise on your own product, so people leave able to run it again without me. The same four blocks work in person, as a hybrid, or fully remote.

09:00
Introduction & icebreaker
Introductions, an icebreaker, and a live score of where the team thinks its narrative stands.
09:30
The Science of Storytelling
Why stories work on the brain, and the Logic / Emotion / Credibility framework everything else in the day runs on.
10:45
The Product
Logic. Strip the features and name the real value, then practise articulating it.
12:00
The Audience
Emotion. Who gets the most from that value, and how to connect it to what they actually care about.
13:00
Lunch
Forty-five minutes. The room stays up.
13:45
The Market
Credibility. Building the proof layer that turns belief into buy-in.
15:30
Assembly
The team pulls what they have built into a first narrative, and says it out loud until it holds.
16:45
Commitments
How the team keeps using the framework after today, and where to apply it first.
Not everyone in one place? Two other formats run the same four blocks — see the options below. The training, the exercises and the follow-up are unchanged in all three.

"You got us beyond the pitch, to truly understand why our product matters"

Delivered for marketing, product and PMM functions at Booking.com, Qonto, New Relic, Miro and Freshworks.

"We invited Elliott to the Booking.com headquarters to give a workshop on Storytelling to the full Marketing function. His content hits the sweet-spot between inspiration, theory and hands-on tools to implement on your own projects right away.

Leroy Kaandorp
PMM Lead, Booking.com

Elliott conducted a workshop for my 15+ PMM team at Qonto, helping us understand how to better tell comprehensive stories across product in the B2B space. My team found his work extremely inspiring and are still leveraging this today.

Theresa Gschwandtner
Head of Product Marketing, Qonto

Elliott's 4 part storytelling workshop was well structured and engaging from beginning to end. He is a dynamic presenter and his recommendations for additional resources were on point. My team is already starting to apply what they have learned to product messaging.

Before you ask

The questions I get every time

Who should attend?

Your team — usually eight to twenty people. It works for a marketing team, a product team or a PMM function equally well. If you want to invite colleagues from other functions you can, but it is not a requirement.

Do we leave with a finished narrative?

You leave with the skills and frameworks to build one, and real narratives started in the room using your own product. This is training rather than a consultancy deliverable — the point is that your team can keep doing this without me.

What preparation is involved?

One alignment call with you beforehand, and a short pre-work exercise for attendees. No homework, no decks to build.

What happens after the day?

A follow-up consultation, the full recording with AI transcripts and insights report, and certification for everyone who attended.

How far ahead do we need to book?

Four to six weeks is typical, which leaves room for the alignment call and pre-work. Ask about earlier dates — they open up.
